Evelyne Lambrecht
I've been passionate about food and wellness for as long as I can remember. I grew up eating a lot of delicious home cooked food including veggies from our own garden but I also ate a lot of sugary desserts and snacks… and continued to munch on those through my college years!
My favorite reading materials in high school and college were fitness and nutrition magazines, which led me to study exercise science in college. I was a personal trainer for 8 years and I noticed that my clients experienced much better results when they changed their eating habits as well as their exercise habits. This led me to enroll in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2010 and I haven't stopped studying since.
I have been through my own struggles with my health, from having anemia to low adrenal function to depression and skin problems. Thankfully, through changing the food I ate, supplementing the right way, and making other changes in my daily routine, I’ve been able to deal with these issues. The depression I had experienced throughout high school and college lifted away. I have so much more energy to do everything I want to do!
Through my podcast and programs, I help women go from tired and frazzled to fit and fabulous so they have the energy to do what they want to do! And isn't that what life is all about?
By day (and a lot of nights and weekends), I work as a consultant for one of the leading professional supplement companies and absolutely love it. In addition to learning every day from the doctors and other health care professionals I work with, I completed the Precision Nutrition course with Dr. John Berardi in 2013, am enrolled in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, and completed the Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice module with the Institute for Functional Medicine in 2016.
I am also currently taking the Foundations in Herbal Medicine Course with Dr. Tieraona Low Dog which inspired this idea to teach herbal medicine making workshops!
Since 2013, I have hosted a podcast called Elevate Your Energy which can be found on BlogTalkRadio, iTunes, and Stitcher on a variety of topics related to women's health, functional and integrative medicine, and nutrition. You can listen to more than 90 episodes on your phone or online.
I love kale and salmon, and I adore Belgian chocolate and red wine! Other things I love: adventures around the globe and in San Diego with my amazing fiancé, lifting weights, fancy dinners, photography, random fits of laughter, and sunsets.
